History of the Foundation

Vidarstiftelsen was established in 1962 by Frans Carlgrens fond and Stiftelsen Agape with a foundation capital of 10.000 Swedish kronor.

Between 1962 and 2013, dividends amounting to a total of 152,1 million kronor were granted, of which 110,7 million kronor were for teaching and other educational purposes. The foundation has grown and developed, largely through the expertise and commitment of one of the founders, Åke Kumlander.

Åke Kumlander (1918-2002) devoted the greater part of his life to the development of the anthroposophical movement, especially in Sweden.
