Vidarstiftelsen is administered by a Board. There are no owners or members in a foundation. The foundation capital is designated on one single occasion to serve a particular purpose. This purpose may not be altered. The auditors and the County Administrative Board ensure that the purpose is being pursued.

In 2009 the assets of Vidarstiftelsen amounted to SEK 305 million. The assets consisted for the most part of residential property through the subsidiary real estate company, Steneken Fastighets AB. In addition, Vidarstiftelsen owns the real estate which houses the hospital Vidarkliniken and the subsidiary Kulturforum Järna AB, which organizes conferences and study visits. In addition, there are some investments in Saltå Kvarn AB and the members’ bank, Ekobanken.
